New Kitchen for Christmas!

Click here for images: Shutterfly Images

We've finally finished our kitchen this Christmas! We have a couple of small things to finish, but its essentially completed. Thanks to the generous help of my Dad - Joseph Hilton, we have a beautiful kitchen. Here's a list of things we did:

Demolished wallpaper, drywall, and soffit.
We took out the cabinets, floors, and appliances.
Layed new oak floors, sanded, stained, and refinished.
Rewired the entire kitchen including outlets, lights, appliances, and phone line.
Installed a new gas line for the oven.
Installed new cabinets, can lights, and pendant lights.
Rebuilt walls, drywalled, and painted.
Just to name a few of the fun items that we are glad to have finished.

I am absolutely blown away by how completely wonderful the kitchen looks. Good riddance wall and swinging door. Your family is so awesome for helping you and Jon with such a massive project. Wow! Wow! Wow! If you can't tell, I just can't say enough. Merry Christmas to you!

Ok, so at first I thought the "before" pic was an "after" pic and I was thinking WHAT ON EARTH DID THEY DO THAT FOR?! It looks great and I'm sure it will get plenty of use. BTW, I tried to publish a sauce with nutmeg, but don't think it worked. I also wasn't able to post the pic for butternut squash gnocchi (the website freezes up everytime i try), so I haven't published that draft yet, but the site where the photo can be found is http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1842372 if you want to do it as the administrator or something.

Hey guys! I am so glad that you found me as I have been thinking about you guys lately. It looks like you survived New York and have moved on to bigger and better. Pratt looks adorable. Your house is awesome, I am impressed. It looks like things are going well for you. That is exciting. My brother-in-law is living in Cincinnati and going to UC. Are you guys surviving the ice storms? We would love to hear from you when you have a second.
